SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist in the provision of patient care and related activities under the direct on site supervision of a physical therapist andor a physical therapist assistant as permitted by the state of Utah Physical Therapy Practice Act ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assist the Physical Therapist andor the Physical Therapist Assistant with patient care and related activities following formal on the job training and competency testing.
Assist the Physical Therapist andor the Physical Therapist Assistant with patient data intake and support documentation as permitted by state statute.
Report all treatment procedures performed as delegated and under directly to the Physical Therapist andor the Physical Therapist Assistant.
Assist with andor carry out routine cleaning maintenance support operations of the clinics physical plant patient care equipment and supplies.
Comply with the Facilitys Comprehensive Compliance Plan CPP which includes but is not limited to Business Clinical Operations Environmental Health Safety HIPAA Human Resources and Code of Conduct as well as all facility policies and procedures and educational requirements associated the Comprehensive Compliance Plan Comply with all local state and federal regulations training and instruction requirements as well as any other standards that govern healthcare services provision Carry out EHS duties as designated by the Director of Clinical Services Perform other duties as assigned as permitted by law training.
QUALIFICATIONS A person who has an interest in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy or a related healthcare profession A person who demonstrates the physical and mental capabilities practical or written post training competency test to perform the duties required of the position A person who can meet the physical demand level of the position EDUCATION High school or equivalent skills aptitude required Health Occupations curses in High School desirable College level basic science course desirable EXPERIENCE None required but previous health delivery observation or volunteer hours desirable We are looking for a physical therapy aide for our Syracuse location for mornings Monday Friday part time.
The successful candidate will display a good work ethic and be able to work independently while multitasking.
Is a good people person and enjoys working with and engaging with people.
An interest in the physical therapy field is a bonus with some medical terminology.
