GENERAL
Responsibilities:
Provide professional and courteous service to all customers of Ogden Clinic.
Customers include all Ogden Clinic patients, affiliates, providers, administration, employees, co-workers, insurance company representatives, and all other vendor representatives.
Meet behavioral expectations and support the dignity of all persons.
Also, responsible for the stewardship of resources.
Ensure applicable regulatory requirements are complied with and follow guidelines that maintain safety for oneself, patients, visitors, and co-workers.
Study, understand, and adhere to all Clinic Policies and Procedures and OSHA guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepare I.
Vs in a sterile environment using aseptic techniques Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all patient treatment.
Order and stock drugs in the nucleus and on the shelves.
Print reports and verifying medication on hand for future treatments Audit the 'Nucleus' at least twice a week Perform daily and monthly cleaning Obtain prior authorizations for oral medications Initiate and monitor intravenous infusions, including IV medication administration.
Respond to Clinic emergencies.
Order and maintain inventory of all oral medications, expired drugs, drug returns and drug recalls.
Work closely with drug representatives in keeping up to date on medications, financial assistance and copay assistance Research financial grants and apply for those grants and copay assistance on behalf of the patients Work closely to assist providers, nurses and medical assistants in preparing the medication for the patients and with any other procedures and treatments, related to department.
Work with other specialty pharmacies on medication that we are not contracted to dispense Prepare and administer medications, including injections.
Must have knowledge of sterile v.
clean technique.
Clean and sterilize instruments.
As directed by provider, give instructions to patients, transmit prescriptions, and enter all information into electronic medical record appropriately and accurately.
Assist with record keeping and preparing charts and medical records.
Fill out necessary requisition forms and referrals.
Perform clerical duties as assigned, including but not limited to answering phones, faxing documents, filling out paperwork, scanning, etc.
Take appropriate phone messages and follow through with them.
Prepare, stock, and clean rooms and equipment daily.
Maintain organization and rotation of sample medications and check for out-dated medications.
Assist patients with disabilities as necessary--intra-departmental and to vehicle.
OTHER DUTIES:
Additional assignments and provide assistance in other departments as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records and employee/co-worker information.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Must be certified and have an active Utah State license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Able to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical skills:
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide simple equations.
Reasoning skills:
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Also able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Vision requirements:
close vision and able to adjust focus.
Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Computer knowledge with experience in basic word processing required.
General office equipment and procedure knowledge required.

Noise level is moderate with constant conversations, computers, printers, telephones, etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
